Senol Tasdelen was born in Turkey and lives in Oakville, Ontario

Senol Tasdelen is a Canadian author, entrepreneur, and former healthcare executive originally from Turkey, now living in Ontario, Canada.

His life journey has been shaped by resilience, reinvention, and a lifelong belief that our future is determined not by where we begin, but by the choices we make along the way.

After graduating from the Faculty of Pharmacy in 1979, Senol began his professional career in Ankara, Turkey as a pharmacist before moving into healthcare entrepreneurship and international medical technologies.

In 1982, he founded a company that introduced advanced Japanese blood transfusion technologies to Turkey. Over the following decades, he played an important role in bringing innovative healthcare solutions to the country, including modern breathalyzer systems from the United Kingdom and dialysis technologies through Fresenius Medical Care (FMC), one of the world’s leading dialysis providers.

In 1996, he established the Turkish operations of FMC (Fresenius Medical Care), contributing to the expansion of dialysis clinics and helping improve access to treatment for chronic kidney failure patients across Turkey.

In 2013, Senol moved to Ontario, Canada, where he pursued another lifelong passion — designing and building custom homes. His work in construction and design received recognition for innovation and craftsmanship.

Alongside his professional career, Senol carried a deeply personal story shaped by hardship, perseverance, and hope.

In 2023, he published his first autobiographical book in Turkish, Karanlıkta Koşmak. The following year, the English edition, Running In The Dark, introduced his journey to readers worldwide and received strong emotional responses from audiences inspired by its message of resilience and determination.

In 2025, Senol published Shadows Across The Line: Voices of the Displaced, a humanitarian work focused on the struggles, courage, and humanity of refugees around the world. Through real-life stories gathered from interviews and lived experiences, the book seeks to raise awareness about displacement, survival, and hope.

His newest book, I CHOSE FORWARD, continues this journey with a powerful reflection on personal responsibility, resilience, and the transformative power of choice.

Today, through his writing and public presence, Senol Tasdelen hopes to inspire readers to move forward with courage, empathy, and purpose — regardless of where life begins.
